Teyana Taylor dropped her first mixtake over the weekend, “The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor.” Cleverly playing off of Lauryn Hill’s Grammy award winning album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” Teyana, like Lauryn, is also a multitalented artist. Not only does she sing, she also raps, dances, acts, and models. With so much talent, it makes me wonder why she has yet to find her niche in the industry. Having recently been released from her contact with Star Trak/Interscrope, Teyana is finally finding her own voice.

Her debut mixtape includes numerous features from Wyclef, Wale, Fabolous, Jadakiss, and Southern sensation, Travis Porter. Producers such as Hit-Boy and Tone P were also apart of this project.
