It was a hair GAGA at Glynn Jackson’s 19th Annual Golden Scissors Awards in Washington, DC!  Models and hairstylists from across the region and beyond strutted their unique fashions and hair creations down the runway.  From beefy male models dressed in barely there clothing to Easter basket inspired headdresses, the entire show oozed creativity.

Though many may relate the shows GAGA theme to pop superstar Lady Gaga,  Glynn Jackson has been using the term for over 20 years, way before Lady Gaga was Lady Gaga.  ”He named the show Hair GaGa…Taking Beauty to the Xtreme because to him, the word ‘GaGa’ means over-the-top and outrageous,” his public relations diva Afalaka Opuiyo confirmed.

Several local celebrities came out to support this grand event, namely DC Mayor Elect Vincent Gray, as well as several Maryland State Delegates, WPGC mid-day personality Anji Corley, WKYS mid-day personality Kitty of the City Jeanie Jones,  rap vixen Lola Monroe, as well as actor and fitness guru Darrin Henson.
